Not much to report about our Myrtle Beach stay. On Wed, the 3rd, we went to Huntington Beach, about 30 minutes south of Myrtle. Much quieter park, and a lot nicer beach. The sand was smoother and the water less choppy. On Thursday we went to Wild Water & Wheels water park. It was fun. But Nic could only go on 1 of the slides with dual rider tubes; the lazy river was relaxing, and we did spend some time in the kiddie areas. The wave pool was lame. Almost never turned it on and when they did it was turned down to mild.
Overall all we'd never go back to Myrtle Beach. The town is an expensive tourist trap and the park is crowded and noisy with sites on top of each other and airplanes flying over. Huntington Beach is the better option.
Yesterday we traveled up the coast into North Carolina to Goose Creek State Park. Its on a channel river off the Atlantic. More later.
