Goose Creek State Park Beach

Yesterday we spent on the beach off Pamlico River.  They call it a river because it continues inland like the Mississippi, but its more like a channel off the Atlantic.  It still has some pretty good waves, but not as intense as the ocean can get.  We also did some sightseeing in Washington, NC.  Founded in 1771, their claim to fame is they were the 1st place to call themselves after George Washington in 1776 at the start of the revolutionary war.
