In the afternoon, we went to downtown Bastrop, which is a cute little historical village with a lot of restaurants, and bars. We visited the local music shop where I played a nice tyler dreadnought acoustic for under $400, and then stopped to get Nic some ice cream, and us some craft beer. The heat is pretty stifling. When you're looking forward to Temps dropping into the 90s in the next few days it must be.
Today we're going to take a dip in the pool. We had to schedule time in the pool because they don't have enough lifeguards, otherwise we'd be in the pool quite a bit. For all its charm, this place has a lot of issues. It probably was a nice place 10 or 20 years ago before people "discovered" it.
