Day 2 and 3

Haven't written the past couple of days, as we were sorting some things out.  Day 2 was pretty disastrous and left us wondering if we should continue, but thanks to Donna's suggestions were back on track.  What we learned:

1) Don't just plan your route, plan your gas stops as well.  If you have a 30' trailer you can't just assume there will be something when you need it.  What you may find might not fit, and at 8 to 9 mpg, empty can come up pretty quickly.

2) Don't trust cabinet roller latches in a travel trailer.  Find ways of securing cabinets during travel that guarantee there will be no mishaps.

This picture is from the marina at table rock lake state park near our campground.  We didn't get to do much in Branson, but we did get to meet up with an old friend from my SSR days, Dean Samet.  He had his own sad story to tell.  Seems he'd left his home in Branson to meet some friends in Vancouver for an Alaskan cruise, only to get stalled in Dallas thanks to American Airlines.  Fortunately he had trip insurance.

Home

We arrived back at home around 2:30p today.  I think we were all overjoyed.  Nic ran up the driveway he was excited.
