Today we went to the state park we were going to stay at but decided not to because of the heat and because we couldn't get an electric site.  It was really beautiful, but small, with very difficult trails.  

However, we did do some hiking and then we soaked ourselves in the Pecos River.  It was a fun and relaxing day.

In the end, 1 day was probably enough.  Glad we decided to stay closer to Santa Fe.

We arrived back at home around 2:30p today.  I think we were all overjoyed.  Nic ran up the driveway he was excited.
