Amarillo

We left Fort Cobb yesterday after an evening of severe thunderstorms.  They were predicting baseball size hail so I had my car parked further back into the campsite under some trees, but that never materialized. The drive was relatively easy, but as we moved from Oklahoma into the Texas Panhandle, the landscape began to change from green & brown rolling fields to more jagged formations and scrub brush.  Sanford Yake campground on Lake Meredith is beautiful in a different sort of way.  Its raining and in the 50s, but should improve by Saturday.  We're headed in to Amarillo today to see what sites there are.  Quite frankly I'm looking forward to our next leg in Santa Fe starting Sunday.  I've been there once, and Donna & Nic are in for an amazing experience.

We arrived back at home around 2:30p today.  I think we were all overjoyed.  Nic ran up the driveway he was excited.
